The story, involving the Rogues caught on a world that hates the Alliance and Empire equally, quickly becomes more sophisticated, and Stackpole is starting to look at ease both with his cast of characters and the comic format. I think he might have done more with some of the “creature’s” details (lacking in the 1956 movie as well), but his storytelling left my imagination ripe for a potential sequel (…. I'm intentionally not reading other reviews in order to prevent coloring my own opinion.
